As a Software Engineer on this team, you will own large-scale projects end-to-end, from ideation through rollout to end-users. You'll engineer across the full stack—designing and implementing backend models and APIs while crafting rich frontend components and architecture. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build intuitive interfaces and robust backend services that scale globally.
Key responsibilities include: owning large-scale initiatives from conception to launch; developing both user-facing and backend experiences; collaborating cross-functionally to deliver products that improve scientific workflows; mentoring junior engineers and leading technical discussions; and helping shape the team's technical vision and roadmap.
You'll work on a mature codebase, balancing new product creation with taking existing products to feature completeness. The role emphasizes product-first thinking, shipping code quickly, and understanding real-world impact. You'll have high ownership in key areas of the product.
The team values technical excellence, deep understanding of user needs, and commitment to making complex scientific work easier and more efficient. Prior life science knowledge is not required, but genuine interest in learning is essential.
