Salary: USD 108,000 - 131,000 / annual
Pendo is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join its feature teams in Raleigh. You'll work primarily in Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript, building polished customer experiences and the backend services and APIs that power them. The role emphasizes shipping well-scoped features independently, collaborating closely with Product and Design, and leveraging AI as a core part of your development workflow.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Owning features from implementation through production, breaking work into small, independently shippable increments
- Building across the frontend and backend with a strong lean toward TypeScript and Vue.js
- Developing and expanding AI-powered capabilities, including work with Model Context Protocol (MCP), LLMs, and agentic workflows
- Writing maintainable, production-ready code with appropriate testing strategies
- Using AI coding tools as a core part of your daily workflow, applying strong engineering judgment to AI-generated code
- Participating actively in planning, technical discussions, and code reviews
- Identifying recurring issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement in systems and processes

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer building and shipping production web applications
- Experience building full-stack applications, including backend services and APIs, with strong frontend experience using JavaScript or TypeScript and a component-based framework (Vue, React, or Angular)
- Daily use of AI tools as part of your software development workflow
- Ability to independently deliver well-scoped features and break work into small, deliverable increments
- Experience applying unit, integration, or end-to-end testing strategies appropriate to risk and scope
- Experience identifying risks and blockers, raising them early, and continuing to drive progress independently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including participation in planning, technical discussions, and code reviews
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Experience with Vue and TypeScript
- Experience building applications on large-scale datasets (millions or billions of records, long-running queries, asynchronous processing)
- Experience building AI-powered product features using LLM APIs, agents, or Model Context Protocol
- Experience with Go or GCP
- Familiarity with safe deployment and rollout patterns (feature flags, canary releases)
- Experience building accessible, inclusive web experiences
