Passfort, part of Moody's Technology Services Group, is seeking a Full Stack and Data Software Engineer to join the Corporate Systems team in Vilnius. This role bridges frontend and backend development with a structured pathway into data engineering and AI-enabled workloads.
You will support the development and maintenance of web applications, services, and data solutions while building expertise in modern software engineering practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain React-based web applications, resolving defects and delivering user-facing improvements
- Build and support FastAPI-based backend services and RESTful APIs with guidance from senior engineers
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code in React, Python, and SQL while participating in code reviews
- Follow a structured learning path from SQL into PySpark, supported by mentoring and dedicated learning time
- Progressively contribute to data pipelines and data engineering workloads as skills develop
- Assist in monitoring applications, services, and data workflows; troubleshoot issues and participate in root cause analysis
- Work closely with business, product, and technical teams to clarify requirements and communicate progress
- Maintain source code repositories and automated build/deployment pipelines using GitHub or Azure DevOps
- Follow data governance, security, and enterprise compliance standards
Required qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on experience building React-based web applications; working experience with Python for backend development (FastAPI, Flask, or Django); solid SQL command including queries, joins, and aggregations; foundational software engineering discipline (Git, code reviews, testing, Agile); strong analytical and problem-solving skills; clear communication and collaboration abilities; demonstrated proficiency in AI concepts with hands-on experience using AI tools; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
Preferred: Prior big data experience (though structured learning path provided for PySpark). The role emphasizes growth into data engineering and AI-enabled workloads within the first several months.
