Cloudflare's Enterprise Integrations Engineering Team is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain integrations across SaaS applications used throughout the organization. This role sits at the intersection of traditional integration engineering and AI-driven automation, where you'll evaluate and implement LLM-assisted solutions, agentic workflows, and automated diagnostics to reduce manual toil and improve reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking integration projects from concept through implementation: requirements gathering, technical specification, development, testing, and deployment
- Identifying opportunities where AI/LLM approaches (agentic workflows, automated triage, code generation) can improve integration design, delivery speed, or operational support
- Building and extending internal AI tooling including agents, skills, MCP servers, and automation scripts that support engineering and business-as-usual workflows
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions, whether traditional services or AI-driven approaches
- Contributing to the team's evaluation, adoption, and governance of AI tooling with attention to data handling, model selection, guardrails, and responsible use
- As you grow, leading larger initiatives and owning integration, UI, and MCP projects end-to-end, including AI-tooling initiatives
Required qualifications include 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, proficiency in at least one backend language (Go strongly preferred; Python/TypeScript also considered), and demonstrated experience using AI/LLM tools to build real solutions beyond code generation. You should have experience building RESTful APIs with proper security practices, working with internal stakeholders on integration/automation solutions, and familiarity with observability tooling, containerized/cloud environments, serverless computing platforms, and CI/CD tooling. Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation with 10+ engineers is expected.
The team values curiosity, continuous learning, shared ownership, and open communication. You'll work closely with both technical and business teams, participate in regular retrospectives, and help shape how AI tooling evolves the team's approach to planning, building, testing, and troubleshooting integrations.
