Aalyria is revolutionizing how planetary mesh networks are orchestrated and managed across any radio or optical spectrum, orbit, and hardware across land, sea, air, and space.
As a Delay-Tolerant Networking (DTN) Software Engineer, you will join the UK R&D team to develop innovative features for DTN capabilities. You will collaborate with other software engineers to evolve the Hardy bundle router and integrate it with the Spacetime platform, building solutions that address critical networking challenges for customers and partners globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain DTN products, platforms, and APIs using Rust, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers
- Build scalable, distributed systems on Kubernetes
- Participate in the full application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
- Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Gather and address technical and design requirements
- Create technical content including documentation, tutorials, and sample code
- Assist with customer onboarding and integration support
- Optimize application performance for production deployments
The ideal candidate has experience with the DTN stack, distributed systems with cloud technologies, and solutions to networking, storage, queueing, and other systems challenges.
