Revolut is a fintech super app serving 75+ million customers globally with products spanning spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel. The Technology team builds the infrastructure and systems powering this platform at scale.
You'll join the Site Reliability team as a DevOps Engineer, tasked with building scalable infrastructure from scratch to support Revolut's expansion into new markets and 10x growth. This is a hands-on role requiring strong software engineering fundamentals combined with DevOps expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting and building infrastructure and processes to enable market entry and massive scaling
- Delivering Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD solutions across multi-cloud (GCP, AWS) and on-premise environments
- Designing multi-cloud regional failover, disaster recovery, and self-service business continuity planning for mission-critical reliability
- Building third-party connectivity solutions from scratch to handle high-volume, complex integrations
- Creating and maintaining security infrastructure, automating patching, ensuring audit readiness, and supporting regulatory compliance
- Implementing managed services (Postgres, Redis) across cloud and hybrid deployments
Required qualifications:
- Backend development experience with hands-on software engineering skills
- Proficiency with Linux, Docker, and cloud platforms (GCP and AWS)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems: scaling, fault-tolerance, load-balancing, networking, security
- Experience with continuous delivery systems (Jenkins, TeamCity) and Kubernetes
- Expertise in configuration management and deployment tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Knowledge of relational databases (Postgres, MySQL)
- Ability to work independently across internal teams and external partners to design end-to-end solutions
Nice-to-have skills include monitoring solutions (NewRelic, StackDriver, Prometheus) and experience with on-premise/hybrid environments using tools like KubeVirt.
