Amperesand is reinventing power infrastructure for a new era of energy abundance. The company builds intelligent, software-defined power infrastructure products leveraging advanced medium voltage Solid State Transformer technology. With hubs in San Francisco, Reno, and Singapore, Amperesand serves critical infrastructure customers globally.
As a Software Engineer–DevOps, you'll work directly with the infrastructure team to support daily cloud deployment operations across AWS. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and ops background who wants to deepen infrastructure engineering skills in a fast-moving startup.
Key responsibilities include:
**Infrastructure Deployment & Maintenance:** Execute and monitor Terragrunt/Terraform deployments across development and production AWS environments. Troubleshoot deployment failures and coordinate rollbacks.
**CI/CD Pipeline Support:** Debug and maintain GitHub Actions workflows. Manage artifact storage (S3, ECR). Triage CI/CD failures and unblock deployments.
**Cloud Operations:** Perform day-to-day AWS resource management (EC2, RDS, VPC). Monitor CloudWatch/Datadog dashboards. Respond to alerts and operational issues.
**Service Operations:** Support production services including distributed messaging systems and containerized workloads.
You'll gain hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and cloud operations while contributing directly to deployment and monitoring systems that power critical energy infrastructure.
