Mistral is seeking an experienced Software Engineer focused on Developer Experience to own and foster a collaborative, automated, and efficient software development lifecycle. You will work closely with product engineering teams to ensure consistent code health, accelerate development velocity through well-maintained CI/CD pipelines, faster builds, and secure release processes.
Key responsibilities include building, monitoring, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows and accelerate deployments. You will design, operate, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure multi-cloud infrastructures while identifying areas for improvement and creating innovative solutions that enable high developer velocity.
You will standardize DevOps practices across all engineering teams, establish measurable KPIs for security performance, reliability, and compliance adherence, and partner with development and operations teams to embed security into daily workflows. Leadership responsibilities include training initiatives to upskill teams on secure coding, threat modeling, and incident response, and championing a security-first mindset to drive cultural adoption of DevSecOps principles.
Representative projects include improving CI/CD and build systems, optimizing cloud registries (Docker, Azure, GCP), implementing static and dynamic code analysis tools, and implementing automated vulnerability analysis.
You bring 5+ years of successful experience in DevOps, Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, Internal tooling, or SRE roles. You have strong proficiency in scripting languages (Go, Python) and software development best practices, with deep expertise in developer experience engineering, workflow optimization, tooling and automation, and Site Reliability Engineering (CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, logging, alerting, observability). You have exposure to multi-cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure, or on-premises) and security tools and approaches (OWASP, SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability scanners). You demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills, ownership and high agency, autonomy and self-drive in fast-paced environments, and a collaborative, low-ego team spirit mindset.
