Arta Finance is building a digital family office platform that democratizes access to sophisticated investment strategies and alternative assets previously reserved for ultra-high-net-worth individuals. The company uses AI and digital tools to help users grow and protect wealth through intelligent automation and private market access.
This Software Engineer role focuses on data infrastructure and performance metrics—core systems that power Arta's platform. You'll work across the full data lifecycle: ingesting and normalizing complex financial datasets, calculating portfolio metrics at scale, and building reliable products for clients.
Key responsibilities span five areas:
1. Alternative Investments Data: Expand support for alternative investment data through backend ingestion, validation, and integration; build frontend experiences for displaying investment data; create internal tooling for data quality; and develop workflows for onboarding new accounts and funds.
2. Investment Performance Metrics: Improve scalability and efficiency of services that calculate performance metrics across client portfolios. This includes optimizing how large volumes of portfolio data are processed, reducing calculation time, evaluating distributed data-processing approaches, and improving reliability and observability.
3. Market Data & Core Data Infrastructure: Expand global market and instrument data coverage; build reusable data-processing infrastructure; strengthen data quality and validation; improve reliability of production data pipelines; and establish patterns for shared ownership and operational resilience.
4. B2B Asset Master: Build and maintain data feeds for B2B agentic workflows, improve data quality and reliability, and support new B2B integrations.
5. Business Intelligence & Metrics: Maintain and improve internal BI dashboards; build new metrics as business needs evolve; ensure underlying data accuracy and reliability; and improve self-service analytics.
You bring 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on reliability, observability, and maintainability of production systems. You have proven experience building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure, optimizing data-processing workflows, and developing internal tools that improve data quality. You're comfortable with distributed data-processing approaches and computationally intensive workloads. Financial dataset experience is a plus.
The role is based in Mountain View with a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office). Arta is flexible for exceptional remote candidates on the West Coast, though at least one in-person interview is required before an offer.
