This role sits within the AI team's data infrastructure group, responsible for building and operating the systems that power large-scale dataset collection for model training. You'll work on petabyte-scale data pipelines that balance cost, throughput, and quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sourcing new audio data streams and integrating them into the ingestion pipeline
- Operating and extending cloud infrastructure (GCP, Terraform) for data collection
- Collaborating with research scientists to optimize the cost/quality/throughput tradeoff
- Contributing to the AI team's dataset roadmap for next-generation consumer and enterprise products
You should have 5+ years of software development experience, strong proficiency in Python/bash scripting, hands-on experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code, and familiarity with cloud providers (GCP preferred). Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus. A BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field is expected.
