You'll join the Data side of the AI team, owning all aspects of data collection to support model training at petabyte scale. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll be scrappy in sourcing new audio data, operating and extending cloud infrastructure (GCP, Terraform), and collaborating with research scientists to optimize the cost/throughput/quality frontier. You'll also help shape the AI team's dataset roadmap alongside leadership.
Key responsibilities:
- Source and integrate new audio data into ingestion pipelines
- Operate and extend GCP-based cloud infrastructure managed with Terraform
- Partner with scientists to deliver richer datasets at scale and lower cost
- Contribute to strategic dataset roadmap decisions
You bring 5+ years of software development experience, strong proficiency in Python/bash scripting, Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code, and hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred). Web crawlers and large-scale data processing experience is a plus. You're adaptable, communicate clearly, and thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
