Salary: USD 196,000 - 294,000 / annual
Vercel is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to build and own the Vercel Dashboard, the control plane through which developers and teams interact with the platform. This is a foundational role on a new team, working alongside a tech lead to rearchitect and rebuild the Dashboard from the ground up.
The Dashboard is evolving from a project listing page into a personalized, agent-powered surface that proactively helps users ship and maintain best practices. You will work across the full stack: building fast, polished UI on the frontend using React and TypeScript, and designing APIs, data layers, and services on the backend that power personalization, agent experiences, and real-time push surfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and owning core Dashboard infrastructure: the shell, navigation, layout system, and shared components that other product areas depend on
- Architecting and implementing backend services and APIs for personalization, notifications, and agent-powered experiences
- Driving performance as a core feature through profiling, measurement, and aggressive optimization
- Building agent-facing surfaces where agents surface errors, suggest fixes, update configuration, and keep users on best practices
- Collaborating with product area teams (Billing, CI/CD, Observability) to ensure clean integration and consistent patterns
- Shipping incrementally and continuously, improving the product every week
You should have 4+ years of experience building user-facing products with strong full-stack capabilities (React, TypeScript, Next.js frontend; APIs, databases, services backend). Experience building for developers or technical users is essential. You think in systems, building reusable abstractions and composable components rather than one-off solutions. You're comfortable with ambiguity and can turn rough problem statements into shipped code. You use AI tools in your development workflow and have opinions on how they should work. You ship fast without sacrificing quality, biasing toward iteration and production feedback.
Bonus qualifications include experience on platform or horizontal teams building shared infrastructure, and contributions to open source projects in the React or Next.js ecosystem.
