Together AI is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Customer Insights team, which owns the customer-facing visibility layer of Together's Cloud platform. This team builds the historical analytics, activity history, audit logs, event timelines, notifications, and investigation workflows that enable customers to understand their AI workload activity and govern with confidence.
In this role, you'll own well-defined pieces of work end-to-end, from implementation through testing and rollout. You'll build and ship features for the Customer Insights platform, including customer-visible events, activity history, audit logs, timelines, notifications, and historical analytics dashboards. You'll partner with the Data Platform and Observability engineering teams to leverage Together's core data stack for building out Customer Insights data collection and processing systems.
Key responsibilities include writing and maintaining critical-path backend and product code used by multiple teams and customer-facing surfaces, helping maintain the freshness and correctness of customer-facing visibility systems, and surfacing blockers early to collaborate with the team.
You'll work in a strong learning environment with code pairing, peer review, and open knowledge-sharing. The team values clean, well-tested code and treats code review as a way the team grows together.
Required qualifications: 2-5 years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems, product platforms, or customer-facing backend systems in production. Strong backend engineering skills in TypeScript, Go, Python, Java, C++, or similar languages. Developing data modeling instincts with comfort working with schemas, queries, and relational/non-relational data. Genuine enthusiasm to learn event-driven systems and analytics pipelines (deep prior experience not required). Ability to own scoped work and surface blockers early.
