Vega is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup building an AI-native platform for security operations centers (SOCs). The company is redefining security analytics and operations with a next-generation OS for security teams, already deployed at major global organizations.
The Core Team owns and evolves the foundational query and indexing infrastructure that powers Vega's platform. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will work on the query engine, query optimizations, indexing engines, and data pipelines—solving deep technical problems that directly impact system performance and scalability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain connectors to databases and SIEM platforms
- Add new indexing capabilities to the indexing pipeline
- Own technical decisions end-to-end, from architecture and design through production rollout
- Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and data teams to align on technical direction and system integration
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working on high-performance, complex systems and wants to shape the architecture of a critical platform component. You'll have direct impact on how security data is queried, indexed, and delivered to enterprise customers.
