Applied Intuition is a $15B-valued AI infrastructure company powering autonomous systems across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. The company serves 18 of the top 20 global automakers and the US military, providing tools, operating systems, and autonomy solutions for physical AI.
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you'll join the cloud platform team responsible for managing large-scale simulation infrastructure that tests autonomous software at production scale. Modern autonomous system development relies on daily, realistic, large-scale simulations, and the compute and data generation demands push beyond standard cluster deployments. You'll work at the forefront of building reliable, efficient systems that handle these workloads across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and implementing best practices for deploying and maintaining software across multiple customers on all three major cloud providers with minimal downtime and high reliability
- Monitoring Applied Intuition software on deployed machines and architecting solutions to performance bottlenecks
- Improving developer efficiency by building internal tooling and optimizing CI/CD systems
- Working closely with the engineering team to ensure operational success of backend systems and customer deployments
- Taking ownership of technical and product decisions while collecting user feedback
You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, 3+ years of software engineering experience in infrastructure, monitoring, or large-scale products, and 3+ years of coding experience spanning shell scripting (Bash) and higher-level languages (Python, C++). Required technical skills include Kubernetes, microservice orchestration, containerized systems (Docker), and proficiency in Golang, Python, Java, React, and C++. Experience with open-source tooling and deploying on public clouds or on-premise clusters is a plus.
Applied Intuition is headquartered in Sunnyvale with offices globally. The role is in-office (5 days/week primary expectation) with flexibility for occasional remote work and schedule adjustments.
