Applied Intuition is a $15B-valued AI company building digital infrastructure for autonomous systems across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. The company serves 18 of the top 20 global automakers and the US military.
You'll join the cloud platform team to architect and maintain large-scale simulation infrastructure that powers autonomous system development. Modern autonomous systems rely on daily, realistic, large-scale simulations to test constant software changes. Your role is to ensure these systems are efficient, reliable, and interoperable with custom autonomy software deployed globally.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement deployment best practices across AWS, GCP, and Azure with minimal downtime and high reliability
- Monitor Applied Intuition software on deployed machines and architect solutions to performance bottlenecks
- Improve developer efficiency by building internal tooling and optimizing CI/CD systems
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure operational success of backend systems and customer deployments
- Take ownership over technical and product decisions, collect user feedback, and contribute to team culture
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in infrastructure, monitoring, or large-scale products
- 5+ years of coding experience (shell scripting, Python, C++, etc.)
- Experience with Kubernetes and microservice orchestration
- Proficiency in Golang, Python, Java, React, and C++
- Experience with containerized systems (Docker)
Nice-to-have skills include open source tooling experience and public cloud or on-premise deployment experience. The company encourages applications from candidates who don't meet every requirement but are excited about the role.
Applied Intuition maintains offices in Sunnyvale, DC, San Diego, London, Stuttgart, Munich, Stockholm, Bangalore, Seoul, and Tokyo. The company expects full-time employees to work in-office 5 days per week, with flexibility for occasional remote work and schedule adjustments.
