Salary: USD 150,000 - 170,000 / annual
AKASA is a generative AI healthcare company focused on revenue cycle management. The company has raised over $205M and serves major health systems including Cleveland Clinic, Duke, Stanford, and Johns Hopkins. As a Client Solutions Software Engineer, you will own the deployment lifecycle of ML models powering AKASA's AI-native product suite, which has achieved 20x revenue growth since 2024 launch.
You will execute implementation tasks for new customer deployments, managing requirements analysis, configuration, testing, rollout, and production support. Working closely with client engagement, product, and R&D teams, you'll guide healthcare customers through technical onboarding, integration setup, troubleshooting, and data acquisition. A key responsibility is building and owning evaluation frameworks to continuously measure and improve LLM performance across customer deployments in real-world healthcare settings.
You'll contribute technical feedback that shapes product improvements and work with R&D engineering teams to build robust, scalable client solutions. The role bridges customer needs with internal engineering, requiring strong communication and attention to detail.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, 3+ years of professional Python experience, and hands-on experience designing and running LLM evaluations (both offline and online) to measure model quality and performance. You should be comfortable with relational databases, APIs, and ETL pipelines.
Nice-to-have skills include FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, EDI), and React frontend experience.
