Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced technology. The Air & Missile Defense Radar team develops cutting-edge tracking algorithms and software systems that detect, track, and characterize airborne threats in real-time. In this role, you will design and implement advanced tracking algorithms for novel air and missile threats, including multi-target tracking, track fusion, and discrimination techniques. You'll develop high-performance, real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets. Your work will span the full spectrum—from developing novel multi-target tracking algorithms to building distributed systems that process massive amounts of sensor data in milliseconds. Key responsibilities include building and leveraging modeling & simulation environments to validate tracking performance, collaborating directly with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end defense systems, and optimizing tracking software for performance-critical environments where milliseconds matter. You'll communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, program leadership, and customers to drive informed decisions, and participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful deployment and operational effectiveness. Required qualifications: 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, solid foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, differential equations), and understanding of software engineering fundamentals (design patterns, testing, version control, debugging) are essential.
