Atomic Invest is a fast-growing fintech infrastructure company that powers financial services and wealth creation globally. The company has raised $55M in funding and operates as a remote-first organization with offices in California and New York.
You will join a 16-person engineering team (backend, frontend, infrastructure) building systems that move real money across global markets. This role offers real autonomy and accountability, with engineers working directly alongside operations, compliance, and legal teams to understand requirements and ship solutions.
Current high-priority engineering initiatives include:
- Instant funding: enabling real-time deposits for immediate investing
- European fund flows: building multi-currency settlement and international clearing for EU expansion
- LatAm stablecoin-funded brokerage: designing infrastructure for stablecoin-based account funding in Latin American markets
- Scaling microservices architecture across custody, trading, and portfolio management as partner volume grows
Day-to-day responsibilities involve designing and building distributed systems and REST/gRPC APIs in Go, making architectural decisions affecting how money moves, and working in a cloud-native stack (Kubernetes on EKS, Istio, Temporal for fault-tolerant workflows, PostgreSQL, AWS Kinesis).
The technology stack includes Go, Python, and C++ for languages; Kubernetes (EKS), AWS, Istio, and Jaeger for infrastructure; PostgreSQL, AWS Kinesis, and gRPC for data and messaging; and Temporal for orchestration.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of software development experience
- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
- Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
- Track record of delivering high-quality, reliable production services and systems at scale
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction in a fast-moving environment
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in the financial industry
- Experience building fault-tolerant workflows with Temporal
- Experience building secure and compliant systems
