Voyager Technologies is a defense, national security, and space technology company developing mission-critical solutions including Software-Defined Radios, Digital Processing Systems, Space-Rated Cameras, Star Trackers, and Laser Communications.
We seek an experienced Software Engineer to architect, design, and develop software components for space products and radiation-effects mitigation technologies. You will create software requirements, functional, and design specification documents, and design and document software test plans. Your responsibilities include developing, modifying, and maintaining applications and board-support software for single-board computer products, collaborating with hardware engineering teams to design hardware-software interfaces, and implementing corresponding device drivers.
You will work with embedded processors and microcontrollers (ARM, PowerPC, x86, TI-DSP, 8051), embedded Linux, VxWorks, and cross-platform development tools. Experience with interface buses and protocols (PCI, USB, RS-422/232, SPI, SpaceWire, Ethernet, CAN) is essential. Low-level programming in C/C++ is required. MATLAB and Python expertise are preferred. You will participate in testing and troubleshooting, communicate status updates, and work comfortably alongside hardware engineers during board bring-up.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of embedded systems software development experience, a BSEE, BSCE, or BSCS degree, and familiarity with software-lifecycle processes from requirements analysis through deployment and support. You are self-directive, detail-oriented, analytical, and thrive in dynamic environments. Must be a US person eligible for security clearance.
