Novig is building America's leading sports prediction market, recently designated by the CFTC as a regulated market. The company is transforming sports trading from a closed casino-controlled system into a fair, efficient two-sided marketplace. Backed by top-tier investors including Pantera, Forerunner, Lux, NFX, Paul Graham, and Joe Montana with over $100M invested, Novig is at the forefront of fintech innovation.
As a Software Engineer, you'll work across the full stack to build the infrastructure powering modern sports trading. The role involves designing and maintaining real-time data pipelines, shaping APIs for algorithmic traders, and contributing to architecture decisions that impact the entire platform. You'll apply technologies from modern financial exchanges to ensure transparent and efficient market practices while delivering seamless user experiences.
Key responsibilities include: building and scaling real-time data ingestion and processing pipelines; developing a developer-first API for algorithmic trading and power users; expanding product features through modular backend services and frontend components; collaborating with Design and Product teams on performant, intuitive interfaces; improving observability and reliability across systems; and contributing to critical architecture and system design decisions.
You'll work in a fast-moving, high-trust environment where decisions happen quickly and ownership is real. The team values stellar engineers who can solve complex computer science problems and thrive in cross-functional collaboration. The role requires comfort with full-stack development, systems-level thinking, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Note that the work is tied to live sports, which may involve nights, weekends, and high-pressure situations.
