Salary: EUR 48,000 - 60,000 / annual
ComplyAdvantage is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Transaction Services team within the Platform Tribe. You will help build and maintain backend platform components powering their SaaS-based transaction monitoring solutions and enable new client product offerings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Write new features enabling orchestration of complex workflows and large-scale data migrations
- Join a scrum team and contribute to technical and architectural decisions as systems evolve and scale
- Take ownership of code quality through testing and quality assurance systems
- Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, and other software engineers
Tech stack: Kotlin and Python for backend; TypeScript/React for frontend. Infrastructure runs on AWS and GCP with Postgres and Cassandra databases. The platform uses Kafka for event sourcing, gRPC for service communication, and Grafana Cloud for observability. ArgoCD handles deployments.
Required qualifications:
- At least 3 years of production-grade Kotlin or Java development
- Experience with high-scale applications (high-volume APIs, data pipelines)
- Containerization and cloud infrastructure knowledge
- End-to-end ownership from concept to production
- Experience with testing, build, and deployment tooling
- Understanding of logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills
- BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience
Nice-to-haves: multi-disciplinary team experience, agile/pair programming background.
The role is hybrid (2 days/week in office) based in Lisbon. Compensation includes equity, unlimited time off, home office budget, and annual learning budget.
