Cloudflare's Infrastructure Team is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain systems that manage Cloudflare's infrastructure at scale. You will work on expanding the suite of automations that allow Infrastructure Operations partners to provision, expand, repair, and decommission the rapidly growing fleet of servers. Your contributions will help build an increasingly autonomous system that reduces manual effort and supports Cloudflare's growth.
In this role, you will collaborate with the team to understand business needs and develop technical solutions. You'll thrive in a fast-paced iterative engineering environment, working closely with internal customers to understand their requirements. The role emphasizes AI-first practices—you will integrate AI tools, LLMs, and predictive analytics into your workflow to enhance productivity and scale your impact.
You should have at least 5+ years of hands-on software development experience on meaningfully complex systems. Excellent proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust is required, along with deep understanding of the language and its best practices. Experience with Linux systems, basic networking knowledge (VLAN, Routing, DNS), and the ability to build both backend systems and frontend widgets are essential. Experience with DCIM, CMDB, IPAM, and other Data Center and Asset Lifecycle Management tools is a plus. You should be comfortable working on projects with tight deadlines and short release cycles, and possess excellent verbal and written English language skills.
