Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual
Clockwork Systems, founded by Stanford researchers and veteran systems engineers, is pioneering software-driven AI fabrics to increase GPU cluster utilization and improve distributed computing infrastructure. The company delivers cross-stack observability, workload fault tolerance, and performance acceleration for AI workloads.
You will design and build the next generation of network acceleration software, using your coding skills and distributed systems knowledge to contribute directly to high-performance, reliable, and scalable systems. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on solving complex infrastructure challenges at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing high-performance, reliable, and scalable distributed systems
- Contributing to network acceleration software architecture
- Debugging and solving complex systems problems
- Collaborating with a team of experienced systems engineers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Fluency in at least one of: C, C++, Golang, Java, or Python
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- One or more of the following preferred: operating systems expertise (threads, scheduling, process synchronization, kernel programming); computer networks expertise (networking stacks, protocols, queuing theory, congestion control); experience designing, building, and deploying large-scale distributed systems; full-stack development experience
