Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our Shanghai office and contribute to next-generation payments technologies.
In this role, you'll work on critical projects within our payments platform, designing and developing scalable systems that help merchants boost acceptance rates, reduce processing costs, and fight fraud. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management and a large engineering community, working across our portfolio of products and services with a customer-first philosophy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions using industry best practices
- Define and design loosely coupled, scalable microservices architectures
- Write clean, maintainable, extendable, and testable code on high-impact systems
- Build, own, and operate systems to the highest levels of resilience and service
- Mentor junior team members and assist in their technical development
- Stay current with the latest technologies and spread knowledge across the engineering community
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while working in agile environments
