CertifyOS is building data infrastructure for modern healthcare, solving the problem of fragmented provider data through an API-first platform. The platform automates provider licensing, enrollment, credentialing, and network monitoring by connecting to hundreds of primary data sources, helping healthcare organizations maintain accurate, compliant, and reliable provider networks at scale.
As a Software Engineer, you will own end-to-end delivery of features from design through deployment and support. You'll build scalable, maintainable systems that evolve with product needs, partner with product teams to clarify requirements and deliver practical solutions, and improve reliability and code quality through strong engineering practices. You'll participate in on-call rotation and contribute to operational excellence.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade systems with strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity. You should be able to independently define solutions and contribute to architecture decisions, with a proven track record of shipping high-quality software in fast-paced environments. Strong engineering fundamentals are essential—testing, clean code, and maintainability. You'll need experience improving system performance and reliability, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Strong code review skills and a mindset of raising engineering standards are important. You must be willing to participate in on-call and incident response, have experience working with sensitive data and security best practices (PII), and be comfortable with AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
The tech stack includes Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Java 21 with Quarkus, React/TypeScript, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Sentry, Spanner, BigQuery, and Kafka. Nice-to-have experience includes microservices, distributed systems, data-intensive platforms, healthcare/compliance environments, Master Data Management, technical debt reduction, and developer productivity improvements.
