In this embedded software engineering role, you will architect and develop highly reliable embedded software for in-vehicle systems and custom compute platforms. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement embedded software using C/C++ and assembly languages
- Integrate vendor components into a unified software framework with low-level communication protocols (CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, UART)
- Develop real-time operating system (RTOS) applications
- Build custom in-vehicle infotainment and over-the-air (OTA) update solutions
- Customize Linux/Android-based software and services for embedded platforms
- Develop sensor drivers and middleware (radar, IMU, gyroscope, accelerometer integration)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to bring up custom software on new devices, productionize solutions, and maintain company products
- Work with modern build tools and CI/CD pipelines (CMake, Git, Jenkins)
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of embedded software development experience
- Proficiency in C/C++ and/or assembly languages
- Experience with embedded Linux system software design and middleware integration
- Strong software and system debugging skills on embedded compute platforms
- Knowledge of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO, TCP/UDP)
- Experience with sensor integration and driver development
- Familiarity with build and CI/CD tools
Applied Intuition expects full-time employees to work in-office 5 days per week from their Sunnyvale headquarters, with flexibility for occasional remote work and schedule adjustments as needed. The company has global offices in Washington DC, San Diego, Florida, Michigan, London, Stuttgart, Munich, Stockholm, Bangalore, Seoul, and Tokyo.
