LM Studio is seeking a talented Application Software Engineer to join their New York City team. In this role, you will design, build, and ship features for LM Studio's products used by millions of users worldwide. You'll work across the full stack, blending UI development with systems engineering, design, and applied AI/agentic engineering. The ideal candidate loves building software products, has strong product instincts, and approaches technical challenges methodically. You should have a holistic understanding of software systems and the ability to work across multiple layers of the stack. Experience with desktop applications is a significant plus but not required.
Key technical skills include React, TypeScript, Electron, Swift, Objective-C, and C++. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where shipping quickly is valued. The role is based in LM Studio's SoHo office in Manhattan, with relocation assistance available.
