StockX is seeking an Android Software Engineer to join its high-growth mobile team in Bangalore. You will own technology decisions that shape the StockX Android app experience, working on a platform that connects global buyers and sellers of sneakers, apparel, collectibles, electronics, and more using dynamic pricing mechanics.
Key responsibilities include developing, testing, and debugging the Android app using Android Studio and Kotlin; building GraphQL and REST API integrations with backend services; implementing Clean Architecture with MVVM patterns and Jetpack Compose for modern UI development; and working end-to-end on features including A/B testing. You'll collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, program managers, and engineering managers to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions. You'll also propose and adopt engineering best practices, guide development standards, and foster a growth-oriented team culture.
The role emphasizes security, scalability, reliability, and performance considerations, with clear communication to stakeholders on issue resolution. You'll work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and contribute to cross-functional product initiatives.
Required qualifications: 3+ years of Android development experience; strong understanding of the Android platform and conventions; proficiency in Kotlin, Android Studio, and Jetpack Compose; experience with GraphQL and REST APIs; familiarity with Agile environments; ability to document features and bug fixes; and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred. Experience on cross-functional product teams is a plus.
