Anduril Industries is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Air & Missile Defense Radar team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge tracking algorithms and real-time software systems that detect, track, and characterize airborne threats. You will work in a small, focused team designing sophisticated solutions that process massive amounts of sensor data in milliseconds to protect lives and critical assets. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing advanced multi-target tracking algorithms, developing high-performance real-time software systems for radar sensor data processing, and building modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance. You will collaborate directly with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end defense systems, optimize software for performance-critical environments, and communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams and customers. You will also participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful deployment. Required qualifications include 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent). You must have strong programming skills in C++ and Python, a solid foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, differential equations), and understanding of software engineering fundamentals including design patterns, testing, version control, and debugging. The role emphasizes production-grade systems deployed for mission-critical operations rather than academic research.
