Snowflake is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its AI Team in Warsaw, focused on powering the agentic enterprise. In this role, you will work on developing and serving new platforms for AI solutions while improving Snowflake's existing AI functionalities. You'll participate across all stages of development, from problem formulation through deployment, and collaborate closely with research, engineering, and business teams to shape product strategy.
Key responsibilities include designing optimal solutions to complex, ambiguous problems; building production-quality, scalable backend systems; mentoring less experienced engineers, researchers, and product managers; and articulating technical results and complex concepts to leadership. You'll work with modern software engineering practices including testing, version control, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and agile methodologies.
You should have 3+ years of professional experience writing production-quality code in backend languages (Go, Java, C++, Python preferred), with a BSc in a technical field (AI/ML, CS, DS, Physics, Math, etc.); advanced degrees are a plus. Professional-level experience building SDKs and web service APIs (REST/gRPC) is required. Strong assets include hands-on MLOps experience (model deployment), deep curiosity about open-ended problems, ability to work independently and lead teams when needed, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate is a low-ego, experimental thinker who treats AI as a high-trust collaborator and thrives in dynamic, fast-moving environments.
