Figma is hiring Software Engineers to join the Code Area team, which is redefining how designers, PMs, and engineers collaborate. The team is responsible for agentic workflows that enable ideation and prototyping on production codebases, as well as accelerating the journey from design to code.
You'll work on Dev Mode, Figma's MCP tools, and other leading products for developer/design collaboration. The role involves building and evolving these tools, taking part in 0→1 product development within the agentic coding space, and collaborating across functions with designers, PMs, and engineers to craft high-quality products.
Key responsibilities include shipping user-facing features and products as a full-stack developer, mentoring and being mentored by exceptional peers, and building strong connections with teammates while helping shape Figma's culture.
Required qualifications: 3+ years shipping user-facing features or products as a full-stack developer, strong fluency with React and TypeScript, demonstrated ability to communicate and work across functions to drive solutions, attention to detail and craftsmanship, and high velocity with focus on user impact.
Desirable experience includes leading large-scale engineering projects with high impact, driving cross-functional projects with Product, Design, Data, and Research, working with user-facing LLM and agentic product features, and experience curating eval sets and using LLMs as judges.
