Mirage is an AI-native video platform that uses natural language to intelligently orchestrate video production and editing. The company's models replicate professional editing decisions, improving productivity for experienced teams while democratizing video creation.
As a Software Engineer on the Agents team, you'll design and build agentic systems that power creative workflows for short-form video. You'll work across product, machine learning, and systems engineering, owning end-to-end problems and helping define how agents are built and deployed across the platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and shipping end-to-end agentic systems that improve creative workflows while balancing quality, performance, and reliability
- Designing agent architectures that gather context, plan, select tools, and execute creative tasks reliably at scale
- Integrating state-of-the-art models, combining internal research and external capabilities to power new agent experiences
- Measuring and improving agent quality in production through experimentation, evaluation frameworks, and real-world feedback
You should have 5+ years of professional experience with a track record of designing and developing ML systems or agentic pipelines in production. Deep expertise in context engineering (RAG systems, token optimization, context management at scale) is essential. Experience building evaluation systems and agentic infrastructure (context gathering, tool selection, multi-step planning) is required. You'll need exceptional problem-solving fundamentals, the ability to learn quickly in a rapidly evolving space, and the capacity to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while scoping and delivering projects end-to-end.
Bonus qualifications include experience with multi-agent architectures, LLM fine-tuning, knowledge of generative media and agentic AI trends, and startup or early-stage experience. The role is based in-person at Mirage's NYC headquarters in Union Square. The company is backed by top-tier investors including Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins, and Index Ventures.
