Chariot is a fintech company modernizing donation infrastructure for nonprofits. The company has grown 1300% YoY and now processes over $1.8B in annual payment volume for tens of thousands of nonprofits including American Cancer Society and Memorial Sloan Kettering. Chariot Labs is an internal innovation team tasked with automating critical systems across GTM, Operations, and Compliance. This role focuses on building agentic AI workflows and internal tools that will power the company's next growth phase. You will architect and deploy AI agents in production (not prototypes), write code in Python/JavaScript/SQL, and build internal systems from scratch or scale existing ones. You'll work directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to translate strategy into automated workflows, programmatic outbound campaigns, and custom tools. The role emphasizes breaking down assumptions—for example, questioning whether a CRM is even necessary in an AI-first world and prototyping alternatives. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in engineering, growth product management, or technical RevOps. You should have hands-on experience with agentic frameworks (Claude Managed Agents, Claude Code, OpenClaw), understand architecture patterns like Thin Harness/Fat Skills, and be comfortable with APIs and SQL. You understand sales funnels and business logic, ship v1 quickly, and operate with ownership mentality. The role is in-person in NYC (Monday–Thursday in office, Friday work-from-home). Chariot offers comprehensive healthcare (100% covered options), 18 PTO days, 13 holidays, 100% paid parental leave (12 weeks primary caregiver), weekly team lunches, free dinner past 8pm, monthly team events, employee-friendly equity (2-year exercise window, double-trigger acceleration), and 2–3 annual company retreats. The team is 30% former founders and operates transparently via a public employee handbook.
