Liftoff is an AI-powered performance marketing platform serving the mobile app economy. The AdServing team builds and maintains mission-critical infrastructure responsible for serving ads across Liftoff's product line, processing over a million requests per second and interacting with billions of users.
As a Software Engineer on the AdServing team, you will ship code multiple times daily and see quantified impact on millions of users and business revenue within seconds. You'll work within an engineering excellence culture emphasizing state-of-the-art tools, risk-driven testing, explainable systems, and rigorous code review. The role involves becoming an expert in Go and other cutting-edge open-source technologies that maximize development velocity.
You'll join a nimble, consistently excellent engineering team with members from Google, LinkedIn, Ooyala, and similar companies. The team focuses on large-scale distributed systems, backend architectures, and data stores.
Required qualifications include a B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience), 4+ years of software engineering experience, and demonstrated experience building large distributed systems or backend architectures. You should have very strong coding ability, solid core CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system architecture), an incredible desire for quality balanced with shipping pragmatism, and self-motivation.
The role is fully remote, eligible for employees in CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, UT, and WA. Liftoff is a remote-first company with US hubs in Redwood City, Los Angeles, and New York City. Employees are expected to attend in-person team gatherings (project meetings, regional meetups, company-wide events) at least once per quarter.
