Salary: USD 165,600 - 182,160 / annual
SoFi is a next-generation financial services company and national bank using mobile-first technology to help millions of members reach their financial goals. We're seeking a Software Engineer to own and ideate on technical solutions for account linking product requirements and user stories with minimal supervision.
In this role, you will participate heavily in code and design reviews, delivering resilient and scalable code across a cloud-based microservice architecture. You'll communicate engineering concepts and efforts with stakeholders in product, marketing, operations, business, legal, and compliance. Working in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment, you'll use modern object-oriented programming languages (Java/Kotlin preferred) to build performant applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning technical solutions for product requirements with autonomy
- Participating in code and design reviews
- Building resilient, scalable applications using REST APIs, relational and NoSQL databases
- Working with microservices architecture, Docker, Kafka, and React
- Shaping technical architecture of the product
- Generating ideas for new initiatives and technologies
- Collaborating across multiple offices in a hybrid environment
You'll work with modern tech stack including Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud infrastructure. Part-time telecommuting is available; primary location is San Francisco.
