Rula is hiring a Software Engineer 2 to build and maintain scalable platforms, services, and internal tooling that power the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) function. You'll work on systems supporting payments, claims submission, and operational workflows—critical infrastructure for a mental healthcare platform.

You'll be responsible for the full development lifecycle: planning, execution, measuring success, and post-launch maintenance. The role requires intermediate understanding of modern application architecture, API design patterns, data modeling, security, performance, and scaling. You'll also work with frontend architecture including component-based design, state management patterns, and rendering performance.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline; 3+ years of professional engineering experience; experience working directly with product and design teams; proven ability to build highly responsive, scalable, reliable, and performant systems; demonstrated success driving all phases of development lifecycle.
Preferred: startup or growth-stage company experience; high personal awareness and growth mindset; experience with React, Node.js, TypeScript, Kafka, AWS, or equivalents; on-call experience and willingness to deep-dive complex issues; experience on medium-complexity projects focused on sustainable results.
