Twilio is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Enterprise AI Engineering team, focused on transforming how the company's Customer Support organization operates through AI-powered tools and agentic products. This is a full-stack engineering role building production-grade AI applications that span across GTM functions (Sales, Support, Operations) and internal functions (Finance, HR, Legal).
You will architect high-performance, full-stack applications and develop sophisticated agentic solutions that enable AI and human agents to collaborate on complex business problems. The role involves designing and developing software infrastructure with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance. You'll oversee the integration of complex React-based front-ends with backend modular services, ensuring seamless user experiences.
Key responsibilities include co-leading the design and development of software infrastructure, driving technical vision and strategy; developing sophisticated, stateful web applications; serving as a technical leader in distributed systems and data technologies; driving technical innovation in emerging data technologies; mentoring and elevating a team of high-performing engineers through code reviews and architectural workshops; collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions; and ensuring data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
