AppDirect is a subscription commerce platform enabling organizations to sell any product through any channel on any device as a service. The company powers millions of subscriptions worldwide and is rapidly expanding its engineering team in Pune.
In this role, you will be a hands-on Java developer contributing to the design and development of scalable, mission-critical services and APIs. You'll help shape the platform's integration ecosystem, architect systems to handle high-volume transactions, and design fault-tolerant services that minimize customer impact during failures. You'll participate in the migration to a service-oriented architecture and work cross-functionally with product, design, and sales teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building systems that process high volumes of transactions
- Implementing scalable, fault-tolerant architectures
- Contributing to the platform's integration ecosystem and extensibility
- Delivering end-to-end solutions from conception through production support
- Code reviewing peers and participating in technical design discussions
- Building production-grade REST APIs and web services
You should have 2+ years of Java development experience with solid knowledge of Spring and Hibernate frameworks. You'll need strong SQL skills, familiarity with REST API design, and a track record of delivering complete solutions. A B.S. in Computer Science or related field is required. The ideal candidate enjoys both building and maintaining production code, is comfortable refactoring and exploring new technologies, and brings an entrepreneurial mindset.
