StockX is seeking a mid-level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join its quality engineering team in Bangalore. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test strategies across backend, web, and mobile applications. Your work will focus on detecting and analyzing defects, ensuring software meets quality standards, and collaborating with development and product teams to deliver high-quality products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing on new and existing products
- Developing and maintaining automated test cases using object-oriented programming languages (Node, TypeScript, Java, etc.)
- Creating comprehensive test plans and cases aligned with business requirements and best practices
- Executing manual and automated testing across functional, regression, database, and web services domains
- Implementing performance, load, and security testing best practices
- Working within CI/CD pipelines and GitHub workflows to run automated tests
- Collaborating with the organizational QA team to build product knowledge and share results
- Mentoring junior team members
You should have 4+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages and techniques, 3+ years developing and maintaining test automation for backend-focused systems, and experience working in Agile Scrum QA environments. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous learning are essential.
