StockX is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join its Experience Team, which owns payments, user identity, and order management flows. You'll work on modern web and mobile technologies alongside product managers and engineers to ensure high-quality releases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing BRDs/PRDs to derive test scenarios and prepare detailed test plans
- Creating well-structured test cases following QA best practices
- Automating test cases for web, iOS, and Android applications using WebdriverIO, Selenium, and Appium
- Validating frontend data against backend responses (API checks, JSON, logs)
- Performing functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing
- Executing tests on cloud platforms (Allure TestOps, LambdaTest, BrowserStack, SauceLabs)
- Generating and maintaining rich test reports using Allure or equivalent frameworks
- Participating in sprint ceremonies and release testing
- Raising defects clearly, identifying risks early, and ensuring timely resolution
- Contributing to automation frameworks and maintaining robust test suites
- Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborating with QA peers to improve test coverage and solve challenges
- Contributing to long-term QA strategy and automation enhancements
- Exploring MCP tools for assisted test creation and self-healing automation
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in web and mobile automation testing
- Strong expertise with WebdriverIO, Selenium, Appium, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience testing iOS and Android apps (manual and automation)
- Familiarity with cloud execution platforms and reporting frameworks like Allure
- Ability to debug using DevTools, ADB, Xcode tools, APIs, and logs
- Git and CI/CD pipeline experience
- Strong analytical and debugging capabilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments
Nice-to-have skills include MCP experience, performance/load/security testing exposure, modern frontend framework familiarity, API automation experience, test management tools (Jira, TestRail), Agile/Scrum experience, and broader coding experience (Java, C#, TypeScript).
