StockX is seeking an Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join its Experience Team (XT), which owns payments, user identity, and order management flows. You will work on modern web and mobile technologies alongside engineering and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.
In this role, you will prepare comprehensive test plans by analyzing BRDs/PRDs and deriving test scenarios. You'll create well-structured test cases following QA best practices and automate them for web, iOS, and Android applications using WebdriverIO, Selenium, and Appium. A key responsibility is validating frontend data against backend responses through API checks, JSON inspection, and log analysis.
You'll perform functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile platforms, executing tests on cloud-based platforms such as Allure TestOps, LambdaTest, BrowserStack, and SauceLabs. You'll generate and maintain rich test reports using Allure or equivalent frameworks, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaboration is central to the role: you'll participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, grooming, release testing), raise defects clearly, identify risks early, and work with QA peers to improve test coverage and solve challenges. You'll contribute to long-term QA strategy, automation enhancements, and tooling improvements. The role also includes reviewing documentation and contributing to test strategies and automation design. Experience with MCP tools for assisted test creation and self-healing automation is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in web and mobile automation testing
- Strong experience with WebdriverIO, Selenium, Appium, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience testing iOS and Android apps (manual and automation)
- Experience with cloud execution platforms (LambdaTest, BrowserStack, SauceLabs)
- Experience with reporting frameworks such as Allure
- Ability to debug issues using DevTools, ADB, Xcode tools, APIs, and logs
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical and debugging capabilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
NICE TO HAVE:
- MCP experience for test creation/self-healing automation
- Exposure to performance, load, or security testing
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks
- API automation or end-to-end automation experience
- Test management tools (Jira, TestRail)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Broader coding experience (Java, C#, TypeScript) or OOP fundamentals
