F5 is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack systems. This role combines frontend development using React/Next.js with TypeScript and backend development with Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate), Node, Python, or Go.
Key responsibilities include building high-performance backend systems using modern Java frameworks; implementing and maintaining cloud-native applications on Azure or AWS with managed services (computing, networking, databases like Postgres, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, and object storage); designing and implementing event-driven systems using Solace, Kafka, or AWS SNS/SQS; creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins; utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, ARM, or Bicep; developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS); and integrating AI-powered features such as predictive analytics or generative workflows.
You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment, monitor and troubleshoot production issues, analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, and write technical design documents. The role requires strong communication skills to present technical solutions to review boards and work effectively across teams.
Required qualifications: 6+ years building full-stack systems at scale; strong experience with React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, Go, and Java; hands-on experience with AWS (S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, Kinesis) and Azure (Blob Storage, CosmosDB, AKS); proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins); Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates); Docker and Kubernetes expertise; database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, CosmosDB); familiarity with Redis, Elasticsearch, and Kafka; production-ready experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch); and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
