BinSentry is a fast-growing ag-tech company based in Kitchener, Ontario, focused on transforming the agriculture supply chain through AI-powered solutions. The company develops optical sensor technology paired with user-friendly software to help feed mills and protein producers optimize feed ordering, improve animal health, enhance employee safety, and reduce environmental impact. BinSentry currently monitors over 64,000 bins in real time across North America.
You will join a small, fast-moving team to develop BinSentry's ProSense HD product line. Working closely with the principal architect and product team, you'll contribute to enhancing sensor accuracy and performance across both the product backend and ML pipeline.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting and analyzing data to understand sensor performance characteristics
- Investigating and proposing solutions to technical challenges
- Delivering outcomes quickly and iteratively
- Reporting progress, blockers, and learnings to the team
You are a detail-oriented problem solver with strong fundamentals in full-stack development. You're proactive, eager to learn, and thrive in a collaborative environment where outcomes matter more than process. You can prioritize effectively, estimate realistically, and adapt when new information emerges.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in JavaScript (React, Node.js)
- Proficiency in Python
- AWS experience (DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, Serverless) is a plus
