Salary: CAD 112,000 - 151,500 / annual
Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, transforming the legal experience for legal professionals and law firms of all sizes. We are seeking a Software Developer to join our Engineering team at our Burnaby Hub. This is a hybrid role with expectations to work from the office at least twice per week on designated Anchor Days.
In this role, you will work with a team of developers to solve complex problems and deliver elegant solutions to Clio customers. You'll participate in an agile environment with full-stack developers across a variety of projects, using diverse technologies while learning new things and challenging yourself. You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams across three countries, review and provide feedback on peers' code, and contribute to building performant, reliable, scalable, and beautiful products.
A typical day involves working on complex technical problems, participating in code reviews both within your team and across Clio, and helping teammates solve challenging issues. You'll have the opportunity to work on large-scale SaaS products and contribute to projects that impact legal professionals globally.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in software development, specifically building web applications at scale with Ruby on Rails
- Ability to master new technologies quickly and work effectively in dynamic, distributed environments
- Demonstrated success in mentorship in software development using Agile processes with large-scale SaaS products
- Database optimization experience
- Experience working with large-scale systems
- Diverse technical knowledge to help solve complex problems
- Keen interest in improving craft using AI
- Portfolio of successful projects and lessons learned from failures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships
