Avidbots Corporation is a robotics company developing autonomous cleaning solutions for commercial and industrial environments. The company's robots perform scrubbing, sanitization, and maintenance tasks across airports, shopping malls, warehouses, and retail facilities globally.
As a Systems Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the robot operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve hardware control, user experience, system diagnostics, and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain a robust hardware abstraction layer enabling modular control of hardware within the robot's software ecosystem
- Implement fault handling and user experience adaptation mechanisms for smooth robot operation
- Manage the robot's user interface backend, including user management, plan interpretation, and controls for manual operation and remote monitoring in a microservices environment
- Monitor and maintain the robot's computing health and operational node integrity
- Oversee diagnostics and service routines for hardware, including calibration and troubleshooting for sensors, cameras, and auxiliary devices
- Design and manage mission planning and task scheduling systems with robust reporting frameworks
- Champion integration and inter-module communication within the robot software landscape
- Participate in code reviews, hands-on testing with robots, and defect resolution
You'll join a veteran design and development team operating at the forefront of robotics, with your contributions directly impacting the integration of robotics in facilities worldwide.
