Voyager Technologies is seeking a Software and Integration Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute verification and test activities for next-generation lunar landers. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure mission-critical spacecraft software performs reliably from lab through launch and lunar surface operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design comprehensive test plans and procedures to validate spacecraft software and hardware systems, including rocket engines, inertial measurement units, star trackers, radar, lidar, thermal controllers, and autonomous guidance/navigation/control algorithms.
- Develop and enhance software testing infrastructure that enables verification across multiple platforms with varying combinations of emulators and actual spacecraft hardware.
- Execute manual test procedures for high-value spacecraft hardware and document regressions.
- Expand automated nightly test suites running against continuous integration pipelines to increase coverage across different test platforms.
- Create automated reporting tools to map test results to subsystem-level requirements.
- Benchmark and analyze spacecraft system performance across all flight modes.
- Identify and resolve anomalous software behavior in collaboration with developers and engineers.
- Manage test regressions, resources, and software repositories for multiple projects.
- Perform acceptance testing and trace features back to requirements.
- Collect, analyze, and present test metrics.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a technical field, minimum five years of relevant work experience, proficiency with Object-Oriented Programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python), demonstrated ability to build and test distributed software/hardware systems, and experience leading anomaly investigations.
Beneficial experience includes formal software V&V processes, git and configuration management, containers (Docker) and virtual machines (QEMU), Linux and embedded operating systems, coding safety standards (MISRA-C), aerospace communication protocols (CCSDS, Ethernet, RS-422, TCP/IP, I2C, CAN, etc.), and familiarity with electronic test equipment.
