Mindset Care, Inc. is seeking a Senior Social Security Disability Hearing Attorney to represent clients with mental illness and other disabilities in obtaining Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. The company has helped thousands of individuals navigate the Social Security Administration's complex disability claims process.
In this role, you will manage a full range of disability law services, including client consultations to assess eligibility, assistance with SSI/SSDI applications, representation at appeals hearings before administrative law judges, evidence gathering (medical records, employment history, supporting documents), legal research on SSA regulations and case law, and communication with government agencies on behalf of clients. You will serve as a passionate advocate for clients with disabilities, ensuring they receive the benefits they are entitled to under law.
This is a fully remote position. You will be provided with a MacBook, headset, keyboard, and monitor. You must maintain a reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 100 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload, a comfortable workspace, and a backup plan for occasional outages.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed to practice law in at least one state with SSA authorization to represent disability claimants
- 4+ years of experience practicing Social Security Disability law, with proven track record of success at disability hearings and appeals (attorneys with less experience or relevant pre-licensure background will be considered)
- Extensive specialization in Social Security Disability law with deep understanding of SSA regulations, policies, and procedures
- Strong litigation skills including ability to prepare persuasive legal arguments, examine witnesses, and present evidence effectively
- Expertise in medical evidence: familiarity with medical terminology and ability to interpret medical records and diagnostic tests
- Strong legal research and writing skills for drafting briefs, motions, and case documentation
- Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing case files and preparing documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills for managing caseloads and meeting deadlines
- Empathy and compassion for clients experiencing health challenges
- High ethical standards with commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
- Tech-savvy with ability to work effectively in remote environment
PREFERRED: Federal-level claims experience
