Lead Deliveroo and Wolt's approach to identifying and reducing courier/rider fraud and abuse across both platforms. This role combines data-driven investigation with operational judgment to identify emerging risk patterns, understand how operating models contribute to those risks, and assess their potential impact on platform integrity and customer outcomes.
You will translate analytical insights into clear, proportionate policies and operational responses that protect the platform while remaining practical to implement across different markets. Work closely with Legal, Public Policy, Product, Data Science, and Operations teams to navigate complex legal and regulatory considerations.
Key responsibilities include leading a program to identify, assess, and prioritize fraud and abuse risks; developing and implementing proportionate policy and operational responses; establishing metrics to measure policy effectiveness; conducting impact and risk assessments with clear recommendations; and partnering cross-functionally to shape business requirements and resolve complex trade-offs.
You will build deep understanding of courier/rider operating models, incentive structures, and end-to-end journeys to identify fraud risk. Develop analytical approaches and key metrics to identify patterns, quantify impact, and measure intervention effectiveness. Define new policies or revise existing ones in response to identified risks. Establish effective ways of working across both platforms so emerging trends and lessons are identified early and shared with stakeholders. Lead cross-functional delivery from problem identification through implementation, reporting, and post-launch monitoring.
Required: 6+ years in fraud, risk, compliance, policy, operations, consulting, or related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combining data, operational context, and judgment. Experience translating complex risk issues into practical policies and implementation plans. Ability to navigate legal and regulatory landscapes and work constructively with Legal and Public Policy stakeholders. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with ability to influence senior cross-functional teams. Strong project-management skills managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using AI-enabled tools to support analysis and problem-solving.
