Platform9 is seeking an experienced Staff Backend Engineer to contribute to the development of its cloud-native product suite, specifically focusing on networking infrastructure. The role involves designing and implementing features for Platform9's Private Cloud Director, a product that transforms enterprise hardware into full-featured private clouds. You will work on cloud infrastructure deployments, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously improve performance, scalability, and reliability across the product line.
The ideal candidate brings 5–8 years of software development experience with deep expertise in Linux/Unix systems and networking protocols. Strong programming skills in Python or Golang are essential. You should have hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, OpenStack/Devstack) and ideally familiarity with the Linux networking stack, IAM, kernel modules, and device drivers. This is a highly technical role requiring strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and a self-starter mentality in a dynamic, distributed environment.
